I went to Vegas and checked out that Ascot ..... got lots of close up photos for my build.

Funny the same bike auctioned on Ebay later that weekend at $12k and did not meet reserve...

I' ll find time to assemble mine eventually :Ugh

her are some pics I found out of a brochure I have


I'm not sure why the pics are rotated was ok my end but I'm not real bright when it comes to computers

That 1960 YDS1R is a factory race bike not available to the public....I think it's worth well over $20k

I had the gold one as a Lad ended up giving it to my Grampa in the late 70's

new to the site but not into old yamahas... what a great thread here! It will be a really fine example of the Ascot!! Looking Forward to see more of this bike!
