That is truly amazing! I know of one 65 that sold in Vegas for 8k and it did not even run! :OnFire

I went to Vegas and checked out that Ascot ..... got lots of close up photos for my build.

Funny the same bike auctioned on Ebay later that weekend at $12k and did not meet reserve...

I' ll find time to assemble mine eventually :Ugh

her are some pics I found out of a brochure I have

I'm not sure why the pics are rotated was ok my end but I'm not real bright when it comes to computers

Id better go and do some work the bikes don't build themselvs

RTDT....thanks for the post !..

That 1960 YDS1R is a factory race bike not available to the public....I think it's worth well over $20k

I had the gold one as a Lad ended up giving it to my Grampa in the late 70's

new to the site but not into old yamahas... what a great thread here! It will be a really fine example of the Ascot!! Looking Forward to see more of this bike!

And last year I did a very special Bike. It is a Bultaco TSS Race Frame with a TD1/TD2 Engine which were put together from a guy in Austria in 1970. Since last year I race it in German meetings... the next is in 2 weeks...

Maintenance in last years Schotten Meeting in Germany...
