I might have found a possible match for the 1968 DT1 Pearl White. I plan to try this paint in the near future. when I get started on the un assembled 1968 DT1 and the 1968 DT1 I brought back to life in 2008.

Who would know what Paint will match the White Pearl Basecoat that Yamaha used on so many bikes as a Basecoat as well as the only coat (not counting the Clear Topcoat) for the Clean White.
I used to send everyone to R.S. Paint for their color match needs only to find out that they only sell solid color single coats as a ''Match''. I am looking to duplicate the Clean White on a 76 TT and MXC as well as the Competition Yellow on a Custom RD. Yamaha Spec sheet shows that Competition Yellow also uses the "White Pearl Basecoat" as a base for Competition Yellow. I have a NOS YZ175C Tank and indeed the Pearl color is amazing.
Does someone have 1st hand experience here?

I have found a good match for my 82 DT80 Competition Yellow that I used for touching up chips and scratches. It is a Ford color called Screaming Yellow.

Hello, would anyone know what the color of the 1974 DT250 was called, Its the orange metallic, one site called it Virginia Gold.
VMR paints have several gold/orange Yamaha paint colors.
I used VMR for a Honda restore, it was a candy color and good match, blue base and gold top which ended up green.
