I researched this in the past and thought the toreador red bfm0344 ford duplicolor was a good match for brilliant red. What do you think of it vs the darker bfm 0373 darker. Would this need to be painted white, striped, silver, then topcoat red? Little milo may can elaborate on his process. I remember the old thread.

Great Thread!
I think I went through all pages before asking, but a question on my DT175MX that I want to spray white, would this be the same paint as the post on the DT1 pearl white posted on page 3? That sort of looks metallic To me and wondered if anyone could advise before I buy?
TIA.

I've never owned either but from pictures the mx175 doesn't look as metallic as the dt1 pearl white.

In the UK I was unable to purchase the DE 1615 paint recommended for the fenders so I went with a matched 2K paint and I think the results are spot on.
The picture below shows my fender on my RT1 which I painted and the fender off my CT1 with the original silver which has been protected by the mud flap.
As a direct comparison I think it's very good in the low level of gloss too.

Recently had my Competition Green DT3 parts painted in a 2012 Land Rover colour Wimbledon Green Pearl.
Pictures don't really do the colour justice, looks amazing in the sunlight and is very very close to the original colour

That looks pretty damn good . Yamaha used the same colour on the first year RD 350 ,
also 73 . The colours ranged from a rich green like yours to a really really dark green .
I preferred it lighter like your tinware . Great job .
