Down to the fine details now!

My punch list is down to just 16 lines and will be 100% complete by Friday...

so the first big start up will occur on Saturday and the video camera will be rolling .

I noticed this morning that there was small oil spot on the ground right under one of the rear shocks... Moved in for a closer look-

Crap- one of the antique Gas Girling Shocks is leaking from me just sitting on the bike a few times testing them out...

So... Glad It happened now and not out on the trail in Ouray at 12,000 feet!

Good news really as these old shocks were not ideal for this Enduro bike... so went digging in the parts stash again and pulled out those brand new Monza shocks that I bought earlier for this bike from Mikes XS that were as stiff as a board- Took those over rated springs off and found a perfect set of springs that I had.... I them Prepped, Painted and Baked them in oven at 275 for 2 1/2 hours.... Reinstalled them and what a difference!

The length is the same so did not loose that height that I wanted and now have a full range of cushion from Soft, Medium to nice and firm if needed.

All installed and look pretty darn good!

So this took some time out of my schedule today but glad it happened and now I have a brand new set of shocks ready to ride some Colorado Terrain!

Next Step was to get the Exhaust pipe finished up and installed.

Fresh coat of Krylon- High Heat paint, New Screws for the Heat Shield and she was ready to be bolted on.

A little Hi Temp silicone on the front end of the pipe to seal it up and tighten everything down.

The richer finish of the Krylon really makes the shield and red stand out.

So tomorrow on my Lunch Break will head back to the DMV for my Plate and Title!


So on my list of things to complete tomorrow-
Handlebars:
Make sure the Switch has a good ground and will solder on the new connectors- Install the new Grips and all of the cables.

Then will be ready to make all of the electrical connections.
