Hi does anyone have the specs for low and high speed ignition coil in stator specs....i seen in cmsl low speed is 1.42 ohms which i believe should be 1.42kohms as that is what i have...the high speed seems to be correct at 460ohms...
my bike is missing at high rpm. Noticed this past weekend racing as it started to miss at high rpm in 3rd gear at start..bike continues to run ok..
checked ht coil cold and heat soaked , ok...ckd kill switch..clipped 1/4"off ht lead and cleaned insert and assembled( non resistor slicoln cap).

Thanks...Joe

Yep from back in the day I still have 1427 ohms in mind for the main source thing. The windings are the gauge of fine hair pretty much. What's the story--no spark?. OK read your complete post now. I'd think the first sign of the charge coil going off would be not wanting to spark at kick speed. It's all magic in the coils & cdi box. Close the plug gap to 22 max. I guess the high speed could be faulty but dare I say it--not muffler delaminating & blocking up under throttle. They were really good bikes--in 1978.

Spark plug is my guess.  And yes, make sure gap is 0.020" to 0.024" max.

I have specs someplace.  I will try to remember to look when I get home.

Hi Sir...
i suspected that they left off the "k" for resistance check..
i replaced plug but did not reduce gap to .020 as i was at track...used a japanese made ngk in a new honda box so believe it is not conterfit.
i found and bought a high speed stator coil. Cleaned all connector bogh male and female, grounds and coil mount spot faced so will see if this all helps before replacing stator or HT coil.. bike still ran ok just did not like to be wrung out, like it was hitting a limiter...will update ...thanks for all the help guys..
anyone have actual input/experience with changing oil in decarbon rear shock?
