Hey everybody, I live in Concord,CA. I grew up in Oakdale, Ca, racing at the pioneer track outside Oakdale where Kenny Roberts had his motorcycles built when he started. I actually raced BMX against him when I was 12. He used to race around the flat track when we were racing the dirt track. I love all vintage dirt bikes and enduro's. so I will post alot of bikes for sale on here, because I love to buy them get them running and RIDE, RIDE, RIDE then sell them.
Have a great dirt day! :likey

Hello from Michigan. My name is Todd. Really enjoy the site. Quite a wealth of information here and seems to be growing every day. I get caught up enough I may start a couple build threads of my own. In the process of bringing back to life a couple IT400's. Great being here.

Newbie? Boy I find that classification a bit insulting. I’ve owned Yamaha enduros since 1975 when I was 13 years old (’72 CT2), which I bought and paid for with funds I earned from mowing lawns at $2.00 a yard and flipping basket case mini bikes I’d rebuild. I raced enduros on IT’s from 1978-1986 winning the District 14 200A class in ’82, tearing up the woods with the likes of Alan Randt, Dick Burleson and Terry Cunningham. I still see Alan and Dick on the Michigan trails from time to time. I turned wrenches at a Yamaha dealer from 1977 – 1982 to pay my way through college where I earned a BS and MS in mechanical engineering and used that gained knowledge to design and race road racing and drag bikes some of which have held (albeit short lived) world records. I have continued to build, ride and race bikes right up through today. I welcome the chance to share some of my experiences, knowledge, tools and insights with your forum members, as well as, learn a few new things myself. To quote my old friend and fellow grease monkey Terry Holmes, “A day without learning something new is a day wasted.” Newbie, really… you need to come up with a less insulting classification for experienced veterans who are new to your site. End of rant. I look forward to engaging discussions and hope to soon “graduate” to a higher ranking.

Yorarider......your classification as "newbie" is only relative to this site.

Your a newbie here. ...over time we will get to know you.
You will graduate to higher status based on your posts and ability to help others.

Patience is a virtue especially when dealing with members who have limited knowledge and experience with these old Yamaha's.

Welcome !

Hi everyone! I was introduced to this community via my friend BuckHarness. I have worked with Twinline Motorcycles in Seattle for the past 10 years and Ive worked on a lot of old stuff! I have a small collection: 1970 Honda CT70, 1971 Yamaha DT1 converted to MX (my regular trail mule), 1975 Yamaha RD350/TZ350 conversion, 1976 Honda CB500T flat track/hillclimb/scrambler/chopper project, 1994 Ducati 900SS cafe, 1996 MZ Skorpion Sport Cup racer, 2003 Suzuki DRZ400SM. I will share a post of my DT1 shenanigans soon!
