My name is Casey and I live in southern California, about four years ago I purchased a 1982 xt250 and fell in love. The look of the original monoshock yamahas just seemed right to me. No I have a project dt175 and working picking up a couple more.

Welcome Casey! Nice collection you're starting... can't go wrong with the DT175, great bikes. It looks like you found an 1980 or 81?
Also check out the "California Dreamin'" thread. It's a ride coming up in a couple months that would be perfect for your XT (or the DT if you get it fixed up in time)

Hi everyone. I bought a '75 Yamaha 80 Enduro for my 13-year old son. He loves it and it is a great bike for him.
I'll be pestering you for information about keeping this bike in good running condition. And maybe the boy will get on here too.
And I"ll post pics soon in the mini forum. Thanks for having this website!
BTW we live in NW Arkansas.

Yoohoo, you just missed our inaugural EnduroRide event in Eureka Springs last October. I'm hoping we do another this fall. If we do, fire up a bike and join us!

Hello my name is Tony and I live in Los Angeles. I have been riding off and on since I was 11 or 12 and started off on a honda 125 from the mid seventies but eventually ended up with a giant front wheel (23") 1979 honda xl500, which I still own today. A couple of years I picked up a 1975 dt250 and I have loved the sound of a two stroke ever since. She is indeed in need of some love as the previous owner maintained the minimum but she has never not started. Hopefully I will be starting a build thread soon as I will be in need of some assistance as I make the mad dash to be ready for California dreamin' 3. If anybody lives in the area please contact me as I am having a hard time finding anybody who actually knows what a 75 dt250 should run like. Also on a side note to the website creator(s) Thank You, as this website and people are a wealth of knowledge and excitement.

Glad to have you aboard. You are in the hotbed of enduro activity down there. I think we have the greatest concentration of members in the LA area. Take a look at the membership location map under Community up top.
Post up some pics of your bike in a build thread, and when you post questions folks can easily respond and you will keep the information all in one place!

Hey Y'all,
New member , old rider. I've been looking for a vintage dirt / motocross bike for a while so I could ride/race with my old High School friend like we did in the 70's. Someone told me about a add in a local paper of someone who had a couple of old bikes for sale. Long story short I stumble into a guy in a old boarded up house with ( I'm still counting) now 14 bikes between 1969 and 1974. At least 9-10 of them DT's with a mountain of parts. I made a offer and bought the whole Enchilada. I'm going to keep a couple and sell the rest . You could be my new best friend if you need something. Pictures still to come.
