It is in English, so probably not a Japanese edition. It is a scan of a 1968 brochure that is part of the collected brochures we have collected.
I will look at it more closely and update if I can.

the headlight bucket is originally painted the same color as the fuel tank in Pearl white. looks like yours is painted silver in post #19. I hope this helps in a accurate restoration.

Have you ever seen one of these? This was the first brochure that Yamaha put out, then they decided not to go with the Red frame.

Yea, that one, on there, is NOT a 68 bucket.

I think the choice not to go with a red frame was a good one, though I have considered a red framed Enduro on more than one occasion. I have not seen that brochure before. Do you have one? Or is that a pic off the 'net?
One more interesting observation is the fork lowers on the red framed one has painted steel, while the white brochure has the aluminum ones.

I got that picture from a member on yamahaenduro.com, he had the actual brochure. My step dad was a dealer in 1968, and I remember that he got one in an early sales promotion, but it is long gone.

I agree that Yamaha made a good choice on the frame color.
I have seen photos of red-framed enduros but the later color schemes
didn't seem to go, too well.
Black Tach/Speedo???

It also had a chrome plated oil tank, on the Red Frame.
