Awesome bike / project! I keep copy/pasting little idea snippets from these AT/CT sleeper projects into my 'ideas.txt' file I've got running for my project bike :OnFire

Nice work, how about a picture with the pro-tapers installed? I'm considering that on my resto. Thanks!

I used the CR high bend.
Its one of the tallest Mx bend bars and the same bend I use on my race bikes
I also didnt cut the ends so the bar is 32" wide
If you want an even taller bar I think you could use 4-wheeler bars

Great thanks! I like the black better than the stock chrome.

If the Dave you know builds sleeper pipes, my recommendation is get one. They work extremely well and have the stock coolness look. It really woke my bike up compared to stock. I have a good Bassani pipe but the sleeper just looks better.

On another note you should try and get the heat shields remade for the Hooker pipe and have them put back on. Those are killer pipes.

I got to ride the bike around town a little bit with some nice mods before snow hit last year.
I had the 175 top end, boyesen reeds, 28 carb, hooker pipe, pro tapers, preston petty fender, stripped down of signals and rack
It was fun but I didn't have much time to dial it in. I still wasn't satisfied. I never am.
The bike was parked for the winter and after reading about some of the cool builds on this site I wanted to get more serious about mine.
A few posts ago I mentioned the D word and yes you all guessed it, I started talking to Meis.

I went all in and told Dave I want to build the baddest, nastiest most pissed off screaming AT2 that we could.
I wanted it all. Dave helped me out and we came up with this

1975 DT1 cylinder, decked, bored, ported and polished
pro-x custom Yamaha blaster piston
intake hogged out to fit a RD400 reed block
and a sleeper pipe

Beautiful bike ...I have one exactly like that, only in much worse shape. That's what I want it to look like when I'm done!!

Thanks for the compliment but I have to say that it looks better in pictures. It has some patina and character (rust and dents) but still nice example of a 43 year old bike.

After reading other reviews of the sleeper pipes I decided I wanted to try one. My hooker pipe drew too much attention and even though I loved the performance I liked the way the stock one fit better and gave more clearance by my leg. I also like how the stocker has a nice 125 emblem to match the oil tank and keeping with the sleeper theme.
Dave said my pipe was clogged up pretty bad with carbon so that's probably a big part of why it didn't run well when I got it.
Like the others with sleeper pipes I also would like to give Dave and DVM a positive review. I'm very happy with the pipe. It looks good, sounds good and has a nice midrange power band from 4-7k.
I will probably switch back to the hooker now and then because it is super fun top end power band that hits like a sledge hammer and revs to the moon.
