Welcome to the site!
Where did you find a link on ADV? I think I have one in my signature over there, but interested if it was someone else!

Hello to all,
My name is Michael and I'm currently living in South Louisiana. I picked up a 1975 Dt250 (non-running) just before the Hoildays for a New Year's project. I thought I was in trouble when the search for a factory service manual resulted in some high dollar ebay finds. Soon after, I found your Yamaha-Enduro website which appears to be an amazing collection of knowledge and documentation of theYamaha Enduro line.
Although, my most recent rides have been from the Honda Brand. My first experience on a motorcycle was my buddy's father's 1978 IT175. I had to hold myself and bike up using the end of a trailer to get the bike moving. After a little practice I was chasing him around on his brand new 97 KX250.
Now for my first questions on the forum: Yesterday, I started the resurrection process. The rubber intake manifold has some sealant repair. Will the 1977 dt250 manifold fit the 75? Anyone know where to source carb parts for 75? There is green liquid that smells like oil in both the injector res and trans. I Haven't seen green injector oil (in my time) and I assume the trans oil is not suppose to be the same oil. So will start with draining res and lower end. Sorry if these questions have been addressed on the forum.
Thank you all for contributing and building such a great community website for the Enduros.

The manifolds do not interchange, but if properly sealed yours may be just fine. Post up a picture of it. The 74-76 will interchange, but the 77 on were a different design.
For carb parts, what do you need? Most of these carbs come back to life pretty well with a good soak in a good carb dip. I use Berryman's which is not available in Calidornia. Do that first, replace your pilot and main with new (inexpensive and available) then see what you have.
Sudco carries most parts that Yamaha may not. Try looking for what you need first at www.NWVCP.com who has good parts lookup and includes their NOS inventory in addition to what Yamaha still has available.
The greenish stuff could be gas with ethanol that has soured. Could be something else, but hard to say. Maybe someone else has an idea on that.

Thank you Makotosun,
The manifold repair is on the sloppy side. The float gasket is leaking pretty good, I was searching for a rebuild kit to start fresh on the carb. I'm just going to focus on getting that motor to fire and run then go from there with parts.

Go to this link: www.nwvcp.com/pages/OemParts?aribrand=YA..._-_C_(DT250C_-_1976)
It is listed as the 76, but the parts list is the same for both years. Your bowl gasket is available though not cheap.
We have not found a good source for a "Kit" for the larger bore 75-76 models, so you just gotta get what you need and piece it together.

Hello all. Craig from Iowa here. 56 years young. Own 2003 DRZ 400s and a 1974 Yamaha DT 360 A. Getting ready to restore it after I get thru with a Sidekick project.
Last winter year having fun in my SideKick. I'll get a pic of the DT loaded soon. Thought I had one.
