First rides at Easter after major resto of my DT360A. Have owned this bike since new in 1974. All major mods were done in 1975.
Still need to do wheels and pipe, but most everything else finished.
Ran perfectly all weekend, what great engines these are.
After adjusting to "its" handling, (and dodging what bumps I could ) I was surprised just how quick it is. Suspension is as modified back in 1975 by me on the farm, and yes, as expected, its no match for the engine, despite the longer travel rear end and modified internals of the forks.
But, thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.
( That Husky in the background is my usual ride)

A thirty mile ride this morning, sadly mostly on the roads but headed off to a couple of byways I've ridden before and had a bit of fun.

The Vintagent posted these great pics on his FB page today. This DT1B shared space in the Ford Ranchero with a Bultaco on their way to the track... circa 1969.

Cool pic,
actually the Bultaco is a 1968 El Montadero 360. A friend had the off road version, 360 Bandito.

Well almost a year and a half to put another 1,000 miles on the CT2, rolled over to 6,000 today. I'll blame that on owning the XT225 and then the WR250R, too much easier to hop on those for an after work ride.

Taking it easy after installing the new flywheel. Still running a tiny bit of premix and the autolube as it was all I had in the shed during my 10 days quarantine after getting back from working abroad so she was a little meh but so good to be back smoking along!
for reference a Yamaha RS125 RX125 Hitachi F130 flywheel works OK.
My original bars were bent and I went for some chrome eBay bars but they feel so so weird. Might have something to do with the fact I re did the forks and they actually have preload spacers AND oil in them
now!
