Wax,

Is your bike a KLX250S?  I also have one, but as it sits, it's a KLX330S with a pumper carb, cam mods for torque, and a Power Bomb header and DG exhaust.  It's a great little bike that's under appreciated, especially when they went to fuel injection.

No, my bike is a KLX230. I just finished the SM500 on it yesterday and I was really pleased with it. Bone stock with the exception of a $20 (plastic) skid plate and a rear rack.

I zip tied a milk crate and my kids old lunchboxes to the side of it and let it rip through 600 miles of Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina mountains and had a blast.

I was passing guys on big ADV bikes with accessories or wheels that cost more than my entire rig and smiling all the way.
