These are VERY sad times indeed that this site is crumbling from within.
Enduronut, IMHO your knowledge and understanding these vintage Yamaha Enduros is unmatched. I was happy to read that you (and your son Devin) will continue to make use of your expertise on another site.

What is this new site? I'm new at this and can't have too many resources.

Two people jumping ship does not qualify "crumbling from within"!  Yes Enduronut is a wealth of knowledge and Devin helped me out with a part that's darn near impossible to find but there's still a wealth of knowledge that remains.  I have faith this great site will continue on.

I think they left because it is crumbling from within, not that it is crumbling because they left.

What is your evidence that it is "crumbling from within"?  So 2 valued members leave and you can't post pictures at this point in time?  Is that your evidence?  Pretty damn weak!!!

I did not say it was crumbling from within. I just was mentioning why he said he left.

Below is exactly what you said.  There's even a period on the end of your sentence so I'm not taking it out of context...

"I think they left because it is crumbling from within."

You've been here for all of 5 minutes so you can't judge what crumbling from within is.  There's still lot's of very smart people here that are willing to help people like me who are just getting back into these awesome bikes after 40 to 50 years of being away from them.

Of course two people leaving a site does not mean the site is crumbling. BUT, when many, many, many posts of very valuable information is no longer available (lost) because of ?????, then you have to know that something is terrible wrong with this site. I have been a member of this site since it began and was a member of the former Yamaha Enduro site when it collapsed. This site at its peak was simply the best, but with the present situation (bandwidth??) it seams the glory days are gone. I remain a member and a financial contributor but I am very sad to see this situation happening here.

Don, I can only go by your post count which is quite low, hence being here for 5 minutes. Losing posts is not ideal and yeah contains a ton of lost information but for the few years I've been on here the same questions are usually asked time and time again, then being answered time and time again but some very patient and knowledgeable guys. The sky is not falling, I don't see a need to panic and declare this great and helpful website dead...

ASHO here,

i use to be asco but after turning 65 AsHo seems much more appropriate. Ok so the new guy “Wheels” gets a AsHo Pass because he has not been here long enough to get anything other than a; “Warm Welcome.”

Are We Not MEN?

Ok, so some of you are whining about Dave and Devin and honestly I’m not here to tell anyone how to grieve.

Nope better things to talk about. I get quite a bit of benefits and behind the scenes behavioral messages.

So’ I am going to drop a tidbit of information on all of you.

Gary MAKO, PNW your honor may not be feeling much like posting today or any time soon ( obviously in my opinion only ).  See Gary just got back from the ophthalmologist getting a shard of metal drilled out of his eyeball ( yes he was wearing double eye protection ) like myself ( reading glasses and goggles ) because we’re old and we can’t see **** either.

So, you picked a day that’ might not be the best day to whine and cry about whatever makes you feel more human? I will see a hand specialist on Wednesday because I have a metal hitchhiker in my right hand since June 1, that was misdiagnosed by a doctor as hitting the median nerve. So, actually as the new resident AsHo —

I feel I have addressed the Peanut Gallery appropriately with some restraint and respect.

He is relieved as the metal nuisance has been eradicated.

You sometimes need to look at the entire picture, before you start showing hissy fit symptoms online.

Carry on … Argue amongst yourselves. I don’t expect anything to change. We’re all human here and 10% of our brain-mass is MNRA vaxed.
