Mark T

- I do not have power to the double red wires when the key is on, only when it is off. ( I was wrong earlier)

- I have power from the red line going to the key switch

- I also have power on the brown wire coming from the key switch.

- I added a fuse to the positive post on the battery as you suggested.

Thanks.

I'm at a loss.  What you're saying about the red makes no sense since the red in the original harness is not "switched" anywhere.  It goes from the battery to the key switch to power the key switch.   I believe the double red is where the rectifier plugged in.  One wire of that double red should go to battery and the other to key switch?  In any case should be hot all the time.  Not sure what you have going on or if you're mistaken again?  Maybe meter or test light or whatever you're using had a bad ground or something?

The brown coming out out of the key switch powers the accessories like the horn, neutral light, brake light, and turn signals...  I thought you said none of those work?

There should be a blue and a blue white coming out of key switch.  The way you've wired the VAPE, both should have battery power with key on in the "lights on" position.  Taillight power should be the solid blue.  It's powered from the battery red with key in "lights on" position.

Since you hooked up yellow to battery, the blue/white should also have power with key in "lights on" position.  Yellow from battery powers blue/white which powers headlight and gauge lights.

Not sure what else to say.  I guess check the blue wires out of key and check double check the red?

Mark T,

I am still dealing with this issue but I wanted to say that I figured out that the "double red" and the white went to the original rectifier, which I removed when I installed the New Vaoe system.
Should I have left it installed even though it was for the 6V system?

I have nothing plugged into the double red or white wires.

The headlight works with along with the gauge backlights.

The following lights do not work: Rear brake light, rear tail light, neutral light and turn signals,

Any advice would be appreciated.

Awesome!!!  Glad you figured it out!  Electrical can be very confusing and difficult.  Great job!
