OK, I have attached the instructions from Vape for my system and highlighted the areas that cover wiring connections.

Not many things specific to Yamaha , so I am scratching my head about the double red wires and the black.

I'm puzzled. How do you have a working headlight if you followed those instructions?

Mark T........I don't know..... The headlight and the gauge backlights are the only things that are working.....??

I discovered that I had not properly ground my new Vape system when I installed it

Where were those wires connected originally? Where are their "mates" now? The original wires from the original magneto would obviously get unplugged when you removed the original magneto. But there definitely was never a double red or white in the bike harness that went to the stator.

In the post right before this I see a few of what look like "new" connections. It's impossible for me to decipher from what I see now and not knowing exactly what was done.

Can you put ALL the wiring back to the way it was before the installation was attempted? I can either direct you to a recent post that will tell you exactly how to wire from there or tell you again here.
