Howdy! I'm Shawn, and I'm a motoholic. Last Yamaha I worked on, I was 11 and trying to get my Dads 78' IT 400 running. Currently own 95' goldwing, 83 xl600, 88 zb50, 14' xr650l, and sold my SV1000 just yesterday. Currently working on my Girls dads 72' 175 enduro, a coworker's 76' dt400 and have a 86' tri Z 250 that I will get title for when I get the DT400 fixed. So I will be searching and asking from you fine people a bunch!

Hi Everybody,

I'm Donald and new to the Yamaha 2-stroke world. I've gone to see a mate's CT2 and will be picking it up shortly. It's in rough shape but the engine turns over and the piston, bore, and head look great inside. Only problem is the kickstart doesn't engage but I'm sure I can sort that.

I started riding when I was around 5 on a Honda CT70. I rode that until I was 16 and got my first street bike, a Honda CB350. I lusted after a Norton Commando, and after a string of Honda CB's, a Suzuki T20 'Super Six', I finally got one when I was 22. Still have a Norton Commando, over 20 years later, and in between I've had several other bikes as well, including Yamaha XT & TT500, Yamaha TRX850, 1983 Suzuki Katana, 1986 Suzuki DR600, 1976 Honda XL350, 1974 Suzuki TS185, 1955 BSA Bantam.
Currently in the shed are my 1971 Norton Commando Roadster, 1981 Suzuki PE175, 2005 Gas Gas EC300.

Looking forward to picking up the CT2 and the crates of spares. I'll concentrate on getting it going first then look at getting it into presentable condition and have it registered.
