DT 2 piston kit was created by Green53

Hi everyone, I am ready to assemble a fresh top end and purchased a genuine yamaha 1mm over piston kit. It came with thin flat wire "rings" as well as the 2 standard rings that I'm accustomed to using. Do these thin ones, with multiple small bends, go under the regular style rings? The repair manual doesn't mention them. Thanks.

I looked at a few ebay listings, it shows the ring expanders:
It seems they are for less ring noise and better ring sealing.
Some advise against using them due to failure.
I don't see them on the exploded diagram and they are not mentioned in the repair manual.
