Thanks Buddy... I sure do miss the old site as well... So many Great Threads- Build and Rides were detailed and now forever lost on the Old Yamaha Enduro site.

For sure do not touch your DT1MX... their only original once.

Its been a little chilly here in East Texas this week... so has been a perfect time to spend time in the shop on the MX Project.

Got the lower end of Engine all cleaned and installed in bike-

Installed the freshly rebuilt by DEET Oil Pump as it was leaking a tad. Also got the Piston Cleaned up and de-carboned.

Always a good feeling we you get to see the Engine sitting in the frame.  Will next be cleaning up the Head and Cylinder to get a Fresh coat of paint on the Cylinder and the Head all cleaned up and ready to install.

It's my new work shop here in Texas..... There is nothing better then a nice Recliner and a 65" TV up on the wall to kick back and be surrounded by your Old Yamaha's!

Hi Greg, it's been a while!  The restoration is looking great, as always!  I met Rick with this bike for the first time at one of the early group rides. It must be close to 15 years ago!  I took a long break but just picked up a '70 RT1 and had to come in here and poke around. I'm so glad to see you working your magic and building your collection/museum!

I have a couple of those that I am also going to restore after I get this MX done and another 71 DT1 enduro.

I think this was the very first year / meeting for the Yamaha Endurofest in Gorman that shows Rick with this bike...




I was lucky to get this great bike from Rick C on one of my many trips to California for our Yamaha Cali Dream'in rides we did for many years

Talk about the old site big dogs here in one place. Super cool and sorry to hijack Greg. But the last time I saw Dennis he bought some parts from me and kind of bowed out to be a speed boat guy!
Super glad this thread is bringing back so many memories and Youse guys still going strong and building bikes.

Hi Rick!  Yep, I still have that 71 bike with those fuel tank mounts you sent me!  I hope your still riding and wrenching too!
