I have been using 3JN-24500-10-00 and you have to shorten the fill tube. I pull off the plastic filter and cut tube down and then cut a groove part ways thru below the cut and use a hot pin to melt a point into the groove to hold filter on. I always use new screws and washers.

#24, yep i did that too & got them so slow returning they were pretty much still compressed when i hit the next bump haha. I also used Hypoid EP90 in my DT1 gearbox for motocross after destroying 3rd gear big wheel which was a weak gear in the coarse tooth very early gearboxes. Broke into 3 & came out the bottom. So thought i'll cushion it as much as i could. Worked good & clutch didn't suffer except on a cold day first use.
That reminds me--my old Vauxhal Car was so stuffed that i tried hypoid ep90 in the motor & stunk the village out haha. That was a fail & couldn't go anywhere as everyone new where i was.

Was working on forks. Finally got my o-rings and seals in. I don't really like to blast these to keep particles out of the tubes, but after applying paint stripper, a maroon or brownish looking color emerged.
When I got the bike, it had white forks. I know that was a repaint. After applying paint stripper, found a brownish/maroon looking coat. Now wondering if that was a repaint. Going to careful delayer my way down. Seems this CT1 has more history to reveal. They will likely end up brushed alum.
Were the orig forks alum/gray like the engine covers?

Interesting. I looked again and they are steel, but see no silver paint layer. white -> maroon -> steel. Going to look closer for traces of silver. I think maybe they were stripped for the first repaint. Looks like I'll be painting them.

PABT nice to see you getting your bikes dirty and well done for wearing out a tyre, looks like quite a lot of tred was used up there!
