How to register motorcycle not registered in CA for 30 years!

Hi all,

I recently was able to successfully register a 1969 AT1. I did it completely online through the DMV site. It took about 2 months and cost me about $200 in fees, etc.
You must have at the very least the title. The more paperwork, the better. My bike was in non op and was current. With a title alone its doable but you may need to wait longer, pay more fees, and complete a statement of facts form. I was able to retain the black CA plate. Also worth noting. The new title only has the frame number. No engine number was recorded. Not sure if that was a DMV error. This was good for me because the original AT1 engine was a mess and I ended up installing a very nice CT1C 175 motor into the legal AT1 frame. Good luck!

I got an MX360 California green stickered. This bike is a Frankenstein bike pieced together. I had nothing. I had to go to DMV inspection, CHP, forms and fees, and finally a title. Took about a month.
