2 Coats of Primer- 3 good coats of flat black using the scotchbrite pad in between coats to keep things smooth and now just sprayed a silver band where the decal will be placed- this will allow the silver to appear thru the decal stripe/clear area.

So will now let everything cure up overnight and tomorrow will apply the decals...

Once the decal are on and fully cured will tape them off and apply the final coats of flat black to clean up all the lines.... Then will be time to pull the tape and apply 3 coats of the SprayMax 2K gloss clear.

Ok- the decals went on very nice... some patience, soap solution and heat make all the compound curves lay down and smooth out nicely

As I have stated earlier... the Speed and Sport Decals are the very best and the colors are vibrant.

Will let these set up for a good 48 hours and then will be time to tape the decals off and smooth things up a tad more- two more final coats of the flat black to clean up all the lines then will apply the Yamaha decals and 3 coats of the 2K clear coat... going to be purdy!

And just like that we have a tank ready for Yamaha Lettering decal and clear coat!

Going to let everything cure up for a few days and will then apply the lettering and start laying on the Clear Coats.

Now just a little more waiting to let everything cure and fully dry...

hey Greg are painting two tanks, or am I seeing things.
BTW satin looks good on the tank, are you using gloss as a top coat?
