Welcome! from the UK.

You may well know this already but, just in case, there are various manuals, free to download, in the Tech Library - see the top toolbar.

If the bike has been off the road for any length of time, fit new brake shoes. Also, fit a 6v voltage regulator (if a previous owner hasn't already done so), or you might end up blowing headlight bulbs. The "why" and "how" for this is in the appropriate Service Bulletin in the Tech Library.

I just had a look through the tech section
Lot's of great info.
These forums are a great resource.
I am from the Niagara area in Ontario Canada
We have a long cold winter and working on these old bikes is better than sitting around watching tv.

We have found that the VIN numbers on some of the Canadian bikes are slightly later than the ones at the end of the lists in the Tech Library (which is predominantly for US bikes), so don't get alarmed/excited if yours falls into this category!

I love my Datsun
I am trying to source a new coil
Is there a supplier besides Ebay that specializes in these old Enduro's?
I read a few post's regarding interchangeability
Thanks

Tim from the UK (North Wales).
Purchased a DT400C, shamelessly stolen from the US (import).
Not had a motorcycle since my teenage years, always admired the DT’s, saw this one and couldn’t resist. A little light finishing, rode it yesterday and love it, looking forward to further adventures.
