Now that you have it out, have you checked to be sure it's bent?  With the bearing blown to bits, it might have been hard to tell.  (I know, wishful thinking...  but stranger things have happened.)

Almost certainly the damage was done with the kickstart from the looks of it so I'd check those three gears very carefully.

was thinking the same
have the new needle bearing, the kick and idle gear so could possibly offer up to see
or presume may have to take to bits to see if it is without gears on it

D&K have a complete DT175 gearbox on ebay for £74.

Taking into account shipping charges from the US, it might be cheaper to buy that, and sell what you don't need?

I have TY175 output shafts, but they are probably different to DT.

Again, 1976 is a unicorn.  If you have a 1976 DT175c (559 VIN prefix) many of the transmission parts are "one year only" in the USA.

Though 1976 and later Euro twin shock bikes (Euro "F" model, not related to the US model naming letter scheme) could be the same.

one thing that is a problem is
imgur.com/a/eqV0zSa

See how much material around the outside of the bearing housing, and see it if it would be possible to machine the housing bigger, and fit a sleeve with the same ID as bearing OD.
