To be honest, I've been testing using pine-sol lately (still many to test...) citric acid based I believe.  It cleaned a few CT1 cases up pretty well. Best part when the wife comes home, thinks I am house cleaning.

The Simple Green works, but it leaves a distinct film after I wash it off with water.  I was a little concerned about that w/regard to painting, etc.  I didn't try it  but was wondering if I use SG, then a 2nd cleaner to clean the SG off, like citric acid.

Let us know what you come up with.  I'm always looking for new solutions.

Need help...

Looks like I am going to need to replace the Rear Shocks on this bike... I have purchased in the past a stock looking Redwing shock...

Any thoughts or a good source to find something close to these that you all may have found?

Here's what I got off of eBay on my '73 250MX, it came with various bushings to help fit the size bolts for mounting.

NOS Red Wing 13" Shocks XL250 XL350 R5 H1 H2 TS400 TS250 DT250 RT1 GT750 Z1
I was told by somebody that they are like pogo sticks but really it beats the crap out of what I had on my bike at first because they were all rusted up
The link didn't work so I just put in the description as a copy and paste so that will get you where you need to go. I'll try the link still but I want to get it out to you.
I tried a couple of times. The chat evidently will not let the eBay link be presented even though it shows it in the text box. It just doesn't show up in the actual place where it's important

OEM Shocks from 73 LTMX that look like a basic cleanup and they are good.   Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but saw it online.  more of a parts possibility.

Hackman, the problem is ebay now blocks "hotlinking" which is where the link shows up as a preview of the auction item...  just like YouTube videos are often shown.

So ebay links are trying to "preview" and since ebay no longer allows that, what shows up is blank.  Someday new forum software should fix it, but that's a huge job since I'm pretty sure this software no longer has any tech support so basically you'd have to start over from scratch and try to save and migrate the old posts.

Here is your link:   Ebay link to shocks

Using my pc, I just copy and paste the URL (the bit that starts HTTPS.....) at the top of anything that I want to post a link to - see Mark's item below.
