I rebuilt the old tail light. I used the lens and gasket off a new one, and swapped it over to the old one.

The bike originally came with red rear turn signal lens's. I kinda like the look of the amber ones and feel a little safer with them. Somewhere in my house I have a metal license plate holder. If it fits I would like to put it on and add a small sticker that says www.yamaha-enduros.com to help promote the site.

I got new tires mounted on my truck. Now I have peace of mind, driving to Colorado and South Dakota. My old tires were almost 12 years old. 46,500 miles. I probably could've got a little more miles out of them, if I rotated them at the proper intervals.

This weekend I am driving to South Dakota. I will be there until Endurofest. Time to go work on the engine. I'm trying to get dropped in before I leave.

Devin, I am about to clean up the tail light assembly on my ct1 as well. How did you remove the round " cap " on the back to clean up the chrome? I poked and prodded at mine on Sunday but don't want to damage it while taking it apart.

The picture you showed, I only removed the lens and gasket. I swapped them over to the old one.

On the old one I did not remove the light socket, I just cleaned up around it. I am sure it could be removed though. I wanted to retain the stock look and wire colors.

No updates for a few days. I am loading up a bunch of bikes and heading to my hometown in South Dakota. It just happens to be the week of the Sturgis motorcycle rally. My home town in 20 miles from Sturgis. From South Dakota, I will travel to Colorado for Endurofest.

So which route should I take to South Dakota? The route that has a good deal on an Enduro of course.
I picked up a 74 DT 360 with 360 mx engine and high-performance shocks
