Old turn signal switch. It worked fine before removed. The black sleeving was so old, and brittle, it cracked. I will throw it in the bin of parts to rebuild.

New switch: It did not come with the rubber sleeve. I had to remove it from the old switch and swap it over.

Another switch to rebuild. The old ignition switch worked fine. It had an exposed wire that had been taped with electrical tape. Picked up a new switch.

I found this amusing. I did not customize my plate. The DMW gave me an MX plate lol.

Some hardware to install the plate. Safety is my #1 concern.

I did not have any before pictures of the bike. I even started to work on my next project and realized I only had 1 photo. I will make sure I take many "before" pictures, before the full tear down on rumble bee (78 DT 400) begins.
Its nice having a roller and I can twist the throttle. Cant wait to get this bike out on the road. I am going to bolt all the parts on, and will be finishing the engine.

Sorry, I have no before picture on this one. It had normal wear and tear, for a 40 year old casing. I wonder what was originally above "Made in Japan"?
I thought about adding a little decal here.

It probably had a decal for the shift pattern in that slot. Only a guess on my part but I have seen them on other bikes.

Today, I have been working on the front end. I am taking a break, then I will go back and work on the back.
I cleaned up the cable guide. It looks like it was bent. I straightened it up a little better.
