Welcome  from So. Cal.
Looking at the auction, the bike needs a bit of elbow grease but I like it !
If you have kids it would be a great project for all.

Some of the cosmetic parts can be hard to find... engine is basically YG1.

I rode the wheels off one as a kid. I have one again now. Fun bikes.

Your in for alot of fun. Only let down is the dodgy gearchange bracket that sits over & around the front sprocket to pull a rod through the gears to lock them in desired gear. I'm in NZ so the landscout farm model got used in knee deep mud which would pack in there & break the bracket, or chain derailed & wiped it off. Probably did one a week haha back in the day. But i doubt very much your has been given that sort of life so don't worry & go for it!!. But wait there's more lol. The kick start is a complete dismantle if it's slipping internaly as has 4 rollers running up ramps to bite inside a kick gear--did lots of those too. Still love them despite any issues--what hasn't got issues anyway. Here's a pic of one we modified--can't believe we did that haha. Was for a farmer who recond his horse waould go places the bike wouldn't--not sure we won that argument. Also here's a link to look at the motor layout if ya want.

Like those old b&w photos I really like that shell gas globe worth thousands of dollars today. So what’s it like to ride with that front wheel?

Can't remember so probably i fitted it & the boss took it to the farm. If i rode it i'm sure i'd remember haha. It'd be a dangerous weapon on the workshop floor. Could slide of loading it on the trailer.
