That's a really great find of a very early Yam, love the front end. I'm amazed that you can get it running with mostly cleaning and some minor repair.

Back in March I went to AAA to register the MG1, but there was some problem, the AAA person working in the DMV computer got "kicked out," their words. Have to go to DMV instead. I went online to set an appointment, and they were almost 2 months out!!! Disgusted...
So I let the little bike sit. But I did ride it here and there, and even spent an evening just cleaning it up. Looks nice.
Finally, tomorrow, I'm driving to Sonora, CA, almost 2 hours away, for the advantage of no lines, probably seasoned DMV people, breakfast, and then home. Should be home by noon with a sticker, and plans to putt around town this coming weekend. WISH ME LUCK

Congratulations!
I just noticed you must have a later model with "E.T. magneto" that has a separate ignition coil... mine is the early model that actually has the ignition coil right on the stator under the flywheel... it's like a lawnmower magneto where the ignition coil is charged directly by the magnets. No primary stator coil feeding the remote ignition coil like the E.T. design has.
I didn't know the MG1T came with the later (better) ignition system!

Thanks!
Yeah the ignition coil on this one is on the left side near the ignition switch. Stator plate is a lot like our typical enduros.

Good day all, I am brand new to the forum. It seems that there are a few on here that have intimate knowledge of the MG1-T. Would any of you be able to look at this auction post and tell me what I'd be getting into if I won it?
Auction MG1
I would really appreciate any help that you could provide.
Cheers
