Ok. I think I have only posted photos of three bikes so far because the photos were supposed to be taken during a ride showing the bike out in its element. I am realizing now that most of my bikes don't leave my 6 acre parcel of land. And some don't even leave my immediate lawn or yard. So I am going to post the remainder of my bikes as they are, where they were....

My GT80 was the only bike I bought off eBay. I drove from Michigan to Illinois for this little gem, and I'm not the least bit sorry. All I've done is add gas and oil and ride it around the yard and occasionally down the gravel roads to either of my boys homes. I'm sure one of my 3 grandkids will eventually take their toll on it.

This is my little DT100. I bought it from a small motorcycle shop as a roller missing many items. I got it running and did an off-road refurbishing which is what I do to these Enduros when they are missing more items than they have in tact. I replaced all the oil seals, crank seals, fork seals, etc. I paint where most people polish. I use universal aftermarket parts in many cases. But the end result is still a fun ride that brings a lot of smiles to people's faces that remember these bikes from that era. I set a target not to exceed $1,000 dollars including the purchase price of the bike. So if I find a nice one that doesn't need much, well then I spend a little more on the purchase price, as long as it doesn't surpass my $1,000 limit. This 100 was well under that limit.

I got this DT125 from a farmer in Ohio for $300. It ran great, but was completely stripped of all the lights, gauges, rack, etc. I was fortunate to find a local fellow who was parting out the exact same bike. The engine and the tins were already sold. I obtained a majority of my missing items for $5 per part. You can't beat that. It allowed me to finish this bike as you see it, and I kept it under my $1,000 max target.

This DT175 came home with me from Mid-Ohio in the exact condition you see it. It was up for $1,300 but I got it for my max limit of $1,000. Actually I got for like $986 because I emptied my wallet and my wife's purse right in front of the man trying to come up with 1k. He cut me some slack and it came home with me. To give you an idea of the kind of people you meet at Mid-Ohio, this guy handed me the keys and let me ride the bike for most of the day while he raced his vintage MX. That is what sold the bike right there. Someday I'll put a correct front fender on it, but it is painted so well that I might just leave it.

This CT175 was obtained for $600. He was asking $700, but it wouldn't start when I came to pick it up. Judging from his obvious frustration, I was pretty confident he simply flooded the bike since it as about 25F that day. I got it home with a fresh plug and it started first kick. The bike was missing all the enduro parts, so I finished it off with my typical off-road rendition. I obtained a brand new, in the box expansion chamber and the way this thing crackles is something to behold. I have no intentions of adding a silencer. Lol

Got this CT175C for $450. The seller was probably about 35 years old. Said it was his dad's bike and his dad had passed away a few years ago. The bike was kept at their cottage in northern Michigan. At one point the bike was stolen from the storage shed. The police found it laying in a roadside ditch. Most likely some young troublemakers joy riding till it ran out of gas. His father was so angry that he stashed the bike in the basement of the cottage for safe keeping. That was well over 15 years ago. The son dragged it out of the basement and brought it home to sell as is, not running, and still hot wired from the thieves. He got a little emotional as we were loading it in the truck, but said his father would be glad that it was going to someone like me that will truly appreciate it. I plan to keep it simple on this one.
