Irrelevant to this fitting i know but our dt1's in oceania had the bulb on 3 spring loaded pins to turn onto & all in a rubber encased housing clipping onto the refector & located right way up by a lump thingy. Am i dreaming lol. Quite a big headed bulb--umm!!.

Yes, that's the APF bulb I was referring to.

The rubber perishes and, when fitting the bulb, I'm always worried about the glass breaking and my fingers being sliced!
