Hi ,
Would anyone know if there should there be 3 wires going to the condenser? I have a blue one which I think goes from the condenser to the points, there is a black one that comes in from behind the magneto assembly plate and there is also a brown one which is a single piece of wire coated in a brown leather look fabric " not plastic"! not quite sure where this one comes from, I think behind one of the ignition coils!

Yes there are 3 wires. 1 from the source coil, 1 to the spring side of the points & 1 going to the primary side of the ignition coil.
