RT325,

I never trust these e-bay listing because all they do it look at Parzilla or another company and see all the different applications in the RELATED FITMENT list which we all know some of these parts DON'T fit every application in that list. I have bought many parts off them in the past.

So you do physically have a 214 rod, 25mm pin and bearing your bench fitting right now or you don't? I will wait for this to be confirmed before ordering a 25mm bearing, Pin and thrust washers.

Ok, pic in a 5 minutes, till morning then.
25mm 360 pin & roller assembly in a 214 rod. Few pics to confuse but also showing 24mm 250 pin & roller assembly in the same rod.

Last one of above post is 24mm pin & rollers. Rest of the pics coming are related to the 24mm. Hope i got it right.

Good comparision pics. i will order a 25mm pin and bearing set for one of my 214 rods so i have both application kits. Odd they would use a smaller roller bearing in the 360 application but it does look like the rollers are longer and more of them on the 25mm bearing. Of coarse they would have had to by upping the pin size 1mm.

I did update my post from earlier so who ever reads it will get all the information.

There's the long rod and the short rod, 24 and 25mm pin and corresponding bearing... plus there are newer rods with different small end diameter that can be used with a different bearing to match the wrist pin on the older bikes.

(I like the 175's better... one rod size, big end bearing, and pin from 1969 to 1981.)

It's also possible that the 24mm or 25mm pin is not strictly 250 or 360/400 through the years. In fact, I'm pretty sure that at least in the later years (74 on?) the 250 used the 25mm pin and bearing. Parts lists are terrible though.

Your correct that the later DT250's do use the 25mm lower bearing/pin setup.Rod 311 and 510. Not sure on the DT2 /DT3 as it shows the 510 rod in the parts list for them but i don't think that is right either. Pretty sure it started with the 74 DT250A?

I always take a engine completely apart and measure things before ordering parts for sure. Then double check parts list and part numbers to be sure there correct too.To many errors in listings and schematics.

That's interesting about later 250's using 25mm pins. I'm stuck with old stuff so not aware, but sort of makes sense they'd standardize stuff like that. 250's changed the rod length going from piston port DT1 to reed valve due to gudgeon placement in the piston. 360's didn't change going piston port to reed & got away with it. I'm still learning lol.
