 I know i "& others" keep mentioning the flywheel key & hope the poster isn't getting annoyed at pushing the point--but paid off in the end. So you'll never get caught out by that problem again. I'll find a pic of my "never fail" over the top method of tightening but cranks on my fleet were mostly pretty bad from being destroyed previously. Good that APEX #16 pushed the point harder.

& be sure the puller is fully engaged which means no washers sitting in there so it uses all the fine thread before the puller bolt touches the crank--back the puller bolt way out before screwing the puller body in.
Was thinking i was adding this under DEET #18 but anyway, easy to pull that 27mm fine thread if only half screwed in.
