I have much progress on the 400 since my last post. The cylinder is at the machine shop getting bored. Putting the engine back together, frame and swing arm painted. Here are the latest pictures.

Hi! I’ve been a member here for quite a while but haven’t been active. Over the past couple weeks I’ve been using the technical resources in my 71 AT1 restoration. Actually I’m building it up as a race bike for an AHRMA CC race next month in Buffalo SC. I restored the bike back in 1996 for my youngest son and over the years became partially disassembled and deteriorated. I’ve got a Mx high compression head, an Mx piston and a Torque Engineering pipe and am kicking the idea around of doing a port job if I have the time (I’ve found the Mx cylinder porting dimensions).

I’ve also decided to do a CT1 magneto conversion using the information I found on this site using the original AT1 crank....I have the stator plate and my eBay mag is on the way. Anyways I’m 64 years old and live south of Charlotte NC, grew up on a farm in the finger lakes area in upstate NY. I have a 74 CZ 250 enduro, a recently restored 76 Bultaco Alpina, an 83 Yamaha RX50 a neighbor gave me (runs great and always puts a smile on my face), a 72 Yamaha XS2 650 (all apart and probably the next project), another 74 CZ 250 (Mx model) all apart and last but not least a 71 Honda ct70 in need of restoration.

Beautiful country and there were a lot of dirt bike riders in this part of NY. No shortage of MC clubs that organized enduros from early spring through late fall. Nice to hear that you will be competing in the AHRMA event. Good luck at the races and with your projects.

My parents owned a summer home on Skaneateles Lake in the '60s and '70s. We spent the summers there. Boating, fishing, water skiing, camping and of course riding Schwinn bicycles, Honda Mini Trails and then Yamaha Enduros. For the last several years I've rented a house on the lake for a week in July. My avatar picture was taken there 5 years ago. My favorite week of the year.

Beautiful place in the summer, brutal in the winter unless you do snowmobiling and snow skiing.
The hours spent riding my Enduros is not deducted from my life span.

You were almost a neighbor, I bet you spent some time at Flummerfelts! I grew up in Scipio Center and spent countless hours riding in the fields and gully’s over looking Owasco lake, the parents of my best friend had an Arctic Cat dealership just down the road which made winter a lot more fun! I moved into Auburn in 75 till heading south in 98. I owned Gordon Auto Upholstery from 91 till I left, I also return every year for the Great Race team triathlon in August. There’s an AHRMA ISDT ride in King Ferry in early August I might try to do this year, real close to my old high school!

Hello everyone, I recently picked up a 1973 CT3 with a parts bike in trade for a snowblower. The bike is in excellent condition but is in need of an ignition coil if anyone has any leads! I'm located in Alberta and I'm sure I'll be seeing lots if you. [attachment=32977]IMG_20191205_072709_314.jpg

Hello from Canada! I picked up a 1980 Yamaha XT250 back in January and am having an absolute blast both working on it, and riding it. I'm primarily an ADV guy running a 2017 Suzuki V-strom 650 XT and taking it places that it really shouldn't go, but I have to say, these vintage enduros are just an absolute blast. Looking forward to communicating with you all!
I've got a youtube channel where I post up a bunch of different riding and maintenance stuff. Check it out if you feel so inclined! Trail Trash Youtube Channel
