Greetings from northern Arizona. I just got this 78 dt175e from a buddy for $650. Runs like a top, just could probably use a clutch and maybe a top.end before too long. But you know, if it ain't broke...

G'day from Victoria, Australia. My first bike was a YZ80C I shared with my brother, followed by a DT100, which was followed by an IT175J. Other road and dirt bikes followed, not all of them Yamaha...

These days I'm heavily involved in the vintage enduro scene here in Victoria, and I rode my DT400 at a club event last weekend. I've got an AG175 project that I haven't started on yet, plus a Kawasaki KE175D project that is progressing at a glacial pace.

I also ride a 2013 Suzuki DR650SE.

Hi Rusty here,
I hail from the Hunter Valley in NSW Australia. I have just acquired my fathers 1972 DT2 250 which he has owned since new (And the bike i learnt to ride on) and I'm in the process of getting back on the road. Im looking forward to searching up the topics to help me on my Journey.

Welcome! From the UK Rusty.

It must be great to know first hand the complete history of a bike. Don't forget to post photos!

Hunter Valley,oh lovely place to live. I went there when i was 23 with my mate Shane who worked at BHP and lived in Wollengong .
He took me to the wine region.

I've just seen the photos Rusty - did I (and shyted) miss them first time round or have you sneakily edited your post?!

Great bike.

For the anoraks amongst us, note that the front indicators are mounted on the headlight brackets (just as for the Japanese market) as opposed to the handlebars.
