Hi Tom, thank you for the reply.  The thought did cross my mind that it was flooded, maybe I'll put things back together and give her another go and kick the crap out of it

As for timing, the DT175H has cdi not points.  I kinda wish it did have points since I've gotten used to timing my DT2 with points and now that seems easy to me.  I just don't get how you could time this system with the CDI, the woodruf key is good and the stator has no adjustment to it...

Pete, not saying the exhaust isn't blocked but it did run a few months ago.  I did look at the seal behind stator, it is bone dry so I'm guessing it's not leaking.  As for fresh fuel, sad to say it is not, I can drain the tank and put fresh fuel in it, just got some non alcohol fuel today since good ole Nicole is bearing down on us and wanted to be prepared if I lose power and have to run my generator.  I'll see if I can try that tomorrow, thanks for the suggestions!

Lizeec, wish I had someone to push me sadly that's not the case, or at least no one I could ask to do so...

I've started my 100 & 125 using a reverse drill & a socket. So long as the nut is tight--which it should be--& not a hammer drill Might need to start it with a closed throttle to get it spinning then slowly open the throttle as more air=more compression pressure to turn, i think. Might need two hands on the drill with someone operating the throttle.
Found my video if the link's still live.

Probably due to emissions law, timing is fixed on that model. No adjustment. But makes it easy because there is literally nothing to do but assemble.

Well hell! I kicked and kicked and kicked - NO GO maybe this thing doesn't have as much compression as I think it has, that's the only thing I can think. The spark is a nice bright blue spark and I know it's getting fuel, even when I spray brake clean in the carb intake it still wont even pop.

I think tomorrow, depending on how bad the storm is in my area, I'll go to Lowes and get an adapter for my cordless drill so I can put a 1/2 19mm socket on it to spin the flywheel like RT325 mentioned, maybe I can get it to fire then...
