Thanks guys !
Got the black paint yesterday and put the first coat on , til it got windy. Windy today also so it sits for the time being.
Soaked the tool box and rear brake stay in phosphorus acid to get it back to normal, really nasty looking and the acid will do the trick ! Cylinder still won't budge after repeated soaking and beating and banging.
I was wondering if anybody split a case with the cylinder on?? Could it be possible? I don't really like that idea.

I'm a big believer in Kroil... I've also had great luck with using the 50/50 ATF/acetone mix.

Same here on the Kroil. T-Bone loves that stuff... he puts it on everything ! :silly:
Used almost a whole can along with PB blaster. Crank had a bunch of water and is locked up good.
Will try more and if that won't work, 50/50 ATF/acetone mix is next.

I found a pair of side cutters buried a couple of inches deep in the yard of a house I'm trying to get fixed up to move into... Rusted solid. Didn't want to waste Kroil on them but there was an partial jug of ATF and some Acetone in a can in the back shed so I mixed them up 50/50. Soaked the pliers overnight and they freed up! I couldn't believe it. They are older and pretty good tool steel... even the really crusty rust wiped off with a rag. Maybe they looked worse than they were... but I was impressed and the price was right!

Some more pictures from the Hasbrocam. ( yes, Quality is out the window. )

But I like this picture

OK so We went up to my Tank painter without a tank and used his spot welder on my seatpan ,
It was kinda a sad day..his dog died in a gruesome way. It involved with an airplane prop , a newly licensed pilot ,
and you may get the picture there . WAY UGLY stuff.
Super sad.

Mark S., want to let it soak for the time being then when I get antsy,,,heat. :EEEK
using gravity at times to see what that may do. You know.. the weight of the motor. :Ugh

SO Many ways to pull a stuck cylinder... So many ways ! :Buds
What would you do?

AND what the heck is this number?

Well the cylinder has been soaking the whole time with the 50/50 mix of acetone and transmission fluid.
Still nothing. Talk about stubborn .
Yes Mark.. heat is next. So, heat the cylinder and keep the piston cold? or other way around?
I get the part about beating the snot outta it with a soft hammer when heated.
I have never tried this method before

Super Dave and I cleaned out my storage completely , and I found all sorts of goodies the bike needs.
3 or 4 cylinders and heads, All bearings, seals ( including my both sides- 6 pack of crank seals.) New pistons and rings, Shocks, fenders, pretty much got this bike covered !
And I still have about 8 more boxes to look at.
