Flywheel holder recommendation. was created by pahiker

Hi all, was looking for a recommendation for a flywheel holder for my RT3. Below looked like it would do the job and I had good results with motion pro in the past. Thanks!

Hello Pahiker,
I have used a rubber strap wrench throughout the many years that I have worked on Yamahas.

I have used the Motion Pro (short pin side, never use something that sticks through to inside of windows) and a rubber strap wrench.

Both work good.  Decent rubber strap wrenches are getting harder to find...  this is the one I use, price has gone up a lot.  www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0011E4QU4

One I like the best was a homemade one out of some wide thick barstock,  Had a cutaway to clear nut area and two short pins welded in to engage windows...  made it out of scrap at a shop I used to work at...  loaned it out and never got it back ..

Tusk also makes a version of those vise grip type and they might be a few bucks cheaper.
