Yeah BankruptinPA they do work quite well. The previous owner put them on and they have been through rain, mud, sand and plenty of road work. The back is like a trials tire and works a little better all around. The front could be a little more aggressive but works fine for what I use the bike for.

First proper ride out on my DT1. Still not finished but we made a 80 mile round trip with some gentle off raod thrown in for good measure. Picture was taken on North Yorkshire Moors.

Nothing beats those first few rides when you've worked in a resto..... what's the reason for the reg plate mounted low L/H side ?

Cheers

Hi there. I loved every minute of my ride i can tell you! I put the number plate downthere just because i thought it looked better. Im trying to keep any modifications drastically different to stock so it becomes obvious whats original and whats not. Id use original parts but the costs and unavailability of many pieces in the UK have put me off a full restoration. Ive also tried to not modify any of the few original features of the bike. The number plate is actually mounted on a bracket fixed to the bolt where the chain gaurd would normally go. You never know one day i may gather up enough missing parts to restore it but for now its a useable machine and its about the most fun bike I own!

Great news ......
There are many different views on what a bike should be or look like ...... all valid and right for each owner!! The most important thing in my opinion is getting them to a point of where you can use them as intended regardless of what parts you use or how correct they are ....

Looks like you have some good riding country up there!

Enjoy your DT1

Cheers

Local car club had their 40th and final car show on Sunday. For old times sake, I entered the DT1-C in the special interest class. Forty mile round tripper on the bike and a great day in the sunshine surrounded by over 200 beautiful vintage vehicles.
