RT3 Fork Cylinder Bolt Spinning was created by Pinbill

Hello,

I am assembling the forks for my RT3 after replacing the seals. On one side the bolt on the bottom that threads into the cylinder valve wont torque. The inner valve assembly spins even with the spring installed. The other side tightens. Is there a tool or method to hold the assembly inside the tube to prevent it from spinning?

Should I put the tight end of the spring down or up? The tight side was up when I took it apart.

Thank you for your help,

Bill

Are you compressing the fork as well , as you tighten the bolt ?

Yes, I leaned on it as much as I could. I checked the threads and screwed the bolt in with the fork disassembled. The bolt screws in nice.

Doing it by hand? In my experience using an impact gun and compression of the spring will get the job done
