...I think. what it doesn't have is paperwork.

Haven't seen it up close, ie compression, etc., but would love to have a crack at applying Candy Orange paint.

Given what I've seen being asked for mudguards (sorry, fenders!

) it might be worth $1k as a parts bike (though I wouldn't want to see that happen).

I've been watching that one. It's a little bit of a frankenbike with the ignition switch up top, the "looks like a 68 pipe" comment. Black headlight bucket.
But like GreatUncle said, there's still, some parts on it that softens the potential $1K price. If someone hadn't taken a hammer to it I'd probably be a buyer.

That bike is a FIRM  NO, NOT NOW, NOT FOR $250 of parts, NEVER.  I have a rule, no title, no buy.   It had my interest, but I couldn't get past no paperwork nor any proof it was ever owned by him.   I inquired about ownership and previous docs, but the responses were very clear.

That said, there is a new one posted every day.  As a matter of fact, I know Automan would love the DT I FOUND WITH APE HANGER handlebars.  To each his own, I guess.

Apex, I thought this one might could be had for a reasonable deal... I like the DT3s.  The fuel tank and rear fender don't bother me.  I think I could easily repair those provided no internal rust in tank.

Not that I'm aware. 68 was the first year. I prefer the candy orange over white, though throw some pearl in the white and it might look nice.

I would buy if the seller would deduct the price of a bonded title.
