AT3 - 125cc shut of dead, green light went out. was created by custombolt
Anyone have this exact problem? It did this before and after I rebuilt the carburetor. Still has 13.4 volts on the battery. Voltage regulator? Please, exact fixes only. Had my fill of "could be this, could be that" from the GGL search. Thank you all.

Welcome if you're new, welcome anyway!!. Green Light went out sounds like a blown fuse on battery ignition which I'm assuming yours is. Battery would still read. measuring across it. Should be a fuse in the battery area. Check wriggle push connections on the red wires. But if it blew a fuse then I wonder why. But I'm guessing as to the cause at the moment. Could be switch contacts but doubt that if was ok up until carb clean.

We need way more info to even give a decent guess.

My first thought was also fuse because you said light went out too. But if it is electrical, it could be a lot of things. .
The voltage regulator you mentioned is not even on my list of things to check since you're saying battery is fully charged.

I could not find a fuse anywhere including under the fuel tank. I thought maybe the fuse had a narrow short and the higher voltage would bridge the gap. I did rev the engine a bit right before it died which could explain the drop in voltage from 14.6 to 13.5 or essentially it used up a lot of energy during the 6 second rev.

In case you don't know what the fuse looks like, here's a link with a pic of the fuse holder. Usually near the battery and air filter area on that model if I remember correctly.

I saw the fuse photos. Thanks. Schematics of the system just say the fuse is in line with the red lead from the battery. No exact location.

I never came across a yamaha two stroke lightweight single where the fuse holder was not within 6" of the battery.
In my mind, the only place where ignition system and electrical system meet is inside the ignition switch....
