posting on our last day in Costa Rica. besides the beautiful beaches, waterfalls and jungle covered mountains there is a vibrant motorcycle culture here. so many bikes of all makes with a huge number being enduros. While Yamahas didn’t seem to be a dominant make I did come across a DT 175 in a shop at a waterfall attraction we visited. the guy said Yamaha is still importing them though this one seemed to be a late 2000 model with a custom expansion chamber imported from columbia. He let me take it for a ride which was really cool. I’ll post a video on imgur and will update. one thing he told me was the country just excused all back registration fees on unregistered vehicles so a lot of older bikes are making it back on the road. wish we’d do this in the US.

A hell of a coincidence, but I'm currently trying to help out someone in Costa Rica find a headlight for a 1981 DT175. He reckons it's a JDM import, with a 5 inch headlight - pretty sure this is wrong.

I'm in the UK and he contacted me regarding a headlight I've got on fleabay.
