Amazing experience isn't it.

We had a partial eclipse, pretty much like your pics about 20 years ago.  That was when I worked at the motorcycle project and it was viewed from the workshop door.

I found it strangely unsettling, it went like late twilight and everything went deathly quiet.  Even the "students" must have been confused and were quiet.

If I had a torch, I expect I would have found them all hanging by their toes from the tree branches, fast asleep.

Saw on the news this morning that folks have streamed/downloaded Bonnie Tyler's old song so much in the last day or so that she stands to make £1 million from these alone!

About 2 pm our time here, the cars auto headlights were on… on a cloudy, dreary day.
