 i recently acquired a 1973 rt-3 and the bracket for the kickstand is broken off.  i would like to weld on a new bracket but cant find a good picture of what it should look like or the thickness of the tab.  could someone take a close up for me?   thanks

In the UK, you can buy weld on kickstands, complete. Might be available in the US maybe?

I had the same issue with the '74 DT360A I have and did similar to what Mark suggested. I bought a used stand, bolt, and spring and had a competent/sympathetic welding shop manufacture the bracket and weld it on.

I think the bracket breaks off when guys kick start the bike when it is on the side stand, as if the bike was a big Harley
