Hey gents.
I’ve been away a long time. Has Endurofest in Moab gone away for good?

I believe Dave Meis has stepped away from this group. I think there are still some rides happening in SoCal but it looks like someone else will need to organize rides elsewhere moving forward.

Slowpoke and all others:

Dave was/is the best. He was quickly able to assess everyone's riding ability and adapt a new course depending on what he saw. He was/is impeccably prepared and made every ride I attended a great day.

In 2019 a lot of the guys came here to Flagstaff about six months before I moved here for a ride, I was not able to join due to work in SoCal I always wanted to go to Moab too, but my skill is gone and I doubt I will ever be able to go

A lot of great guys on this site, many of us have been here for a long time, I am not doing Yamaha's any more so not much I can help with, I never was anygood mechinically, but good you are back and if anything ever happened in Moab, I am only 5 hours away and I would probably go.

Hello Slowpoke, sorry that you missed out on the Endurofests. The  Moab, Utah Endurofest was simply FANSTASTIC (IMHO one of the three BEST of the Endurofests). As stated above "Dave Meis has stepped away from this forum". And yes, Dave was the best at planning various trips, locations, and trails. By the time of the last "California Dreaming" ride Dave had made the decision to move on from riding altogether

. Within a couple months after returning from the California Dreaming Dave and I sold our bike trailer. Dave has sold his Yamaha bikes/parts. Actually, Dave hooked up with a really wonderful lady and has made other plans for his life

DVM, good to see you are still lurking and thanks for the update on Dave.  It was truly great being able to ride with both of you and the others that made the trips to Gorman very special.
