We used the same seat cover, foam and pan from KDI. Quality product. Easy to install.

Thanks Wes! Craz, I agree it IS quality all around but this is my first attempt at this and really don't have a clue what I'm doing just doing what I think is best and trying to follow what others have told me here. I'm grateful that Dave (KDI), puts out such quality parts for our old beloved machines.

Maybe look at the last sentence… I believe we know what’s meant, not what’s written… smart PC type correction?

Good catch Sneezles, I'm not one for proof reading and sometimes make myself look a moron

How are you holding out in the heat down there? Is the power keeping up for AC?

I've been here in Florida for over 5 years now, this is the hottest and highest humidity I've seen. If I do anything outside the house it's only until about 10 to 11 (even riding my bike), then I'm in the house for the duration! The AC in my house runs continuously from about 11 AM to about 8 PM or so, been thinking I need to get a portable AC just encase electricity goes out, like in a hurricane. I do have a generator for such occasions...

One of the reasons I moved to Florida was because I'm a SCUBA diver but found out quickly that you have to get out on a boat to do any diving and that is not cheap. I lived in Hawaii for 13 years where you just walked off the beach and were in fairly deep and clear water, on the big island you can get deep real fast! Been thinking of moving but don't know where I want to go that doesn't get cold in the winter and for extended lengths of time (I hate the cold!!!), I would love to move back to the big island but don't know if I can afford it currently...

Sorry for the lengthy response to a simple question LOL

Yes,a real pain in the ass that. I found this too. Here's what i did.
Removed the cover, scuffed the paint work up on the lip to give the glue something to grab on ( powder coat)
smeared a small amount of Araldite adheasive on the offending areast, some strips of metal and clamped the metal trapping the cover both sides on to the seat lip when refitted cover on then left it in the sun on the whole rare day of sunshine we get in the UK to dry.
Job done as long as i dont need to remove it. The other option i was unaware of at the time is,you can buy sections of teeth that can simply be pop riveted in place. I would be agreeved at drilling into brand new bits though myself.

Thanks Shyted, I think the glue option will probably be the best and is pretty much what I've been thinking of doing. Have a happy Monday!

I agree with Alan…I can tell by just looking that you didn’t pull the cords tight. Pull them tight and they suck down the edging. Then crimp over the clips. I modified a pair for pliers so they wouldn’t tear the fabric but grab and crimp the clips down.
