Squeaky Brakes was created by Billy Mild

1971 Yamaha AT1-c

On my last ride of the AT1 I noticed when stopping usually right at the end of a stop the brakes or something is squeaking or squealing. The brakes seem to function as normal, but they are loud. I haven't heard a drum brake make this noise before. Is this something that will work it self with some more riding or an area of concern? Shoes are old, not sure I replaced them in the last 20 years.

Likely dust.

Probably should be replaced, or checked over at least.

Usually squealing drum brakes are a sign of brake dust accumulating inside the drum making them judder at a very high frequency.

Be sure any shoes you use have a bit of a taper at the ends.

Short clip of the squeaking. Where to buy new shoes? Partzilla or some other site?

Had to stand on my head to watch that.
Was wondering why using the front brake as a clutch changing gears.
It's all a trick.
How did you do that? with everything reversed haha.
I forgot to listen for the squeeky brakes after all that.
