A short, homemade bracket will probably do the job. 

I've got to do one for my own DT3 and will probably rubber mount it with whatever I've got lying around.

Kawasaki stay.drilled out shock side hole to fit large bolt.  Metal spacer in muffler side.could easily be fabricated.  I’d cut the dampening rubber way down maybe down by 75%.
