I doubt that will ever happen. A friend's Dad was instrumental in developing the California Green Sticker program. He was a businessman who loved off roading and building "dune buggies". He and his friends were being harassed and ticketed for operating their home-built creations on public lands in Southern California in the 1960's. He was issued green sticker #1.

Long story short... the green sticker program gave people rights to have fun with non-street legal vehicles on virtually all public lands in California... the money was supposed to go to developing improvements, etc. (that's another story)

Some groups... the ones that were pushing to ban off-roading on public lands in California completely... were not happy. Eventually they got it pushed through that many areas are now closed unless you have a street legal vehicle. Which is why Enduros are more important today than they were in the 1970's.

So there's sort of a clear separation... if they start making street vehicles buy off road stickers then that clear separation becomes fuzzy.

What could happen though is requiring a special permit to be in certain areas.

I don't mind people moving... it's that they are stupid enough to keep voting the way they did in the place they ruined and they're moving from. :Ugh

I love California, where else can you live and be a few hours from mountains,ocean,desert..... great influx of folks from out of state seem to be pushing us out. Seems like my votes don’t count for much lately. It would be hard to pick up and move after 68 years. Sorry about Colorado, I didn’t do it! Last couple of times through there I could not believe all the people. Not how I remembered it.
